losing sps

Over the last month I have lost an acro speciosa,a blue tort and and now I have had to frag up my green monti. I think i'm also about to lose my cats paw. I have made changes to my set up over the last month and I'm wondering whether these changes have had a profoundly negative affect on my tank. I installed two mp10s. The units are facing each other offset on the tank sides. I also switched salt to aquavitro salinity from reef crystals. Those are the only chages to the tank that I have made. It seems as tho my tank has shut itself down, minimal pe and not much growth. Before the addition of the MPs and salt change the tank was using .5 dkh daily and +-10 ppm cal,now my kalk not only keeps up with demand but cal and alk levels are elavated. Could it be possble that these changes have adjusted the metabolisim of my tank??? My params as of last night 8:00 pm are

ph 8.34
temp 79.5
alk 10
cal 480ppm
mag 1450
po4 .03
no3 0+
sali 35ppt
Any ideas??? btw tank is lit with maxspect razor peaking at 80%channel A and 90% channel B,,,this has not changed in months. Also my LPS are doing great. This only seems to have affected the SPS..... cheers....Bob

I,m at work right now so my responses may be delayed.

from what i've read and with my system the alk seems high for the nutrient level i would cut back on alk dosing try to get dkh to 8 or so slowly

Test the new salt batch, see if the alk level is different to the tanks.
I'd take a guess at different level causing a drop or increase in kh after a water change

Red sea coral pro is according to the bucket at 12 dkH.

However when you have an KH of 7 and do a 10% change it will still only be around 7.5. This should not be that much of a problem.

+1 on the testing of your saltwater alk from Salinity AV. Do a search on Salinity Aquavitro and alk. There have been complaints that the alk drops over time if not used within a few days of mixing.

Personally, I've seen my SPS happiest in the range of 8-8.3
