Lost G3 Skimmer! Anyone have a Sedra Pump?

did you open it up, try soaking it in vineger? I had a problem with one of my Seio's and after messing with it it started working but there was nothing jammed in it.

Hope you get it going.

I opened it up to remove the needlewheel, nothing stuck there...don't know yet how to get inside the pump...I see 4 holes, but don't have the tool to get in it - looking...

DON'T OPEN THE PUMP. He meant did you remove the impeller, etc.

Did you take the impeller assembly apart? Remove the needlewheel, then remove the ceramic shaft? I bet that shaft isn't moving freely -- it needs to. Careful with the spacers, they tend to roll where you can't find them. When removing the needlewheel note the positions of the spacers so you put it back together correctly.

I'm betting the shaft is stuck.

Crisis averted! I had taken the impeller out, thought it rotated freely, no gunk in the body of the magnet. The shaft felt free to me.

The gunk in the spacers was salt...cleaned that up, smooth as Rebecca Stamos bottom, now she spins free as could be. Thanks, guys...
