I can't seem to find my starry Blenny. I have a nano cube so not that many hiding places.
I did a normal 10% change last night. Today I go to feed and he's no where to be found.
I have a pair of true clowns, blood shrimp, and some hermits/snail cuc
Could he have died and gotten eating up in a 18 hr period?
The last couple of days he was acting territorial when the clowns were close to him. I think he might of gotten stressed. I've had him 9 months same with the clowns. Now the clowns seem to be swimming in areas they usually don't go to also.
It's really sad he had such a good personality 😭

It is possible he died, but you might have just scared him. Give it a couple days before you assume he's dead

Not likely, he usually comes flying out especially when he sees the jar of food. I wish he does come out but I looked at every cave. Nothing

Does your cube have an overflow?

I had a starry get into my overflow (with a cover) on my 210. I couldn't find him anywhere and assumed he died. A year later I was under my tank messing with something and I saw him through the glass bottom of the overflow, fat and seemingly content. I had to flush him into my sump to get him out, but he seems to have adjusted back to the bustle of activity in my tank pretty well. Double and triple check the overflow! (and behind the tank) Starry blennies can get ANYWHERE.

When I moved the 75 gallon tank to the new house, I was catching all the fish and removing rock. Never found my starry blenny. Got the tank set up and it took more than a week, even with feeding for the fish to appear again. Not saying this is your case, but they can go into seclusion for an extended period of time in my experience. Hope the best for you.

I found him! He must of slipped through the return line pipe when I was cleaning the tank. He was in the sump hiding. Wow that was crazy my wife cried.

Nice! I thought something like that must have happened :) You would be shocked at the places starry blennies can end up. Now just fit him with a radio transmitter and call it a day.
