how many are there, have you lost many of them in the years

There is about 25 to 30 of them. I have sold some of them, lost some in the start when I put too small of fish with bigger fish(gulp). Forgot to turn on the powerheads one night and lost 40 to oxygen starvation.

Wow! That's alot of clowns I've seen in a tank.

I use to have about 150 of them in the same tank, but they were about 1/4 of an inch.

How do you hatch the eggs? Thanks.

I had it down like clockwork, I knew what day they would hatch and how much time after the lights when out.
I would turn all the pumps and powerhead off, use a flashlight near the corner(they are attracted to the light), scoop them up in a small cup and transfer them to a 20g tank.

Is the mother in the same tank as the ones you raised from fry?
No the parents are in a separate 120g tank.

The pics are great. Good job raising them. What were you feeding the babies when they first hatched.

For those interested in more information. Myself and a couple of other members have some great threads in the breeding forum.

I feed them live rotifers that I keep an ongoing batch of.
