Does anyone find it interesting how short the MH photoperiod is? Only 6 hours for 12k and 4 hours for full MH. Very interesting. It must keep algea growth down? Was it ever higher or have you ever thought of increasing it?

Yes I used to run my 400's for 8 hours and after I did some research here on RC I tried cutting back my photo period on the MH's and saw nothing but increase in color and growth. I've never had an algea problem other than coraline and I don't think I will ever increase it as long as I keep getting good growth and color and my corals are happy.
