i have always heard that loud music around your tank can be harmful. something about the vibrations is debtrimental to the fish . has anyone ever considered this or heard somthing similar?
I hope there is no harm....becasue when i am shaking the foundation to the house on occasion they surely feel it with speakers and subs on all sides of the tanks.
I had a red emperial snapper and a panther grouper who both had no problems, each growing to over 15" spending live listening to pink floyd, ozzie and led zeppln while eating up to 5 jumbo shrimp per day!

yep i have a 15" sub for the saround sound hidden in my stand in the far right side of it. (not built in realy, just in a box in the shelf area) we dont realy CRANK IT! when we watch movies. but i have had it set up like that for 8 months now with movies every weekend and no afects to the tank.
to tell you the truth i realy dont think the LOW tones of bass will harm the tank to much cuz the sound waves are so long. the treble is where you would get into trouble. very short and high pitch sounds waves i think will kill lots.
put it to you this way. what does a blue wale sound like and how loud and whats the MAIN pitch of it.
loud and low
and here is another one
what dose a 20 foot wave sound like under water???
