I have a small 2 head blasto that has been the same 2 heads for 4 years. Can't get it to grow. (Now I did have a long stretch where my tank was not in great condition and GHA surrounded and irritated it I am sure). I am getting things back in order now. Hopefully it will start to grow.
In general do you guys who have them find them to grow on the slower or faster side?
They LOVE to eat!!! I feed mine mysis just about every other day. My red and green blasto polyps started out the size of a penny and are now the size of a dollar coin. They don't like high light and no more then med low flow. Mine are in a 40 breeder lower half of tank under 4 high output t5s. ATI bulbs love them my combo is 3 blue+ and one purple+. Hope this helps.
Rt67ghy those are nice. Looks like you do have the same red as I do. I have had the brown before also. Would love to get my hands on the purple and green ones.
I found it's best to feed them. For a few weeks I didn't feed mine and noticed loss of some polyps on both corals. Now I feed them every alternate day with shrimp, squid or clam and they love it and this has stopped the regression and the remaining polyps look healthy.
