I've never seen a 175w hqi. Is that correct? I don't think any of the major bulb companies make a 175w hqi? Look like decent little setups though.

Odyssea is the only company that makes the 175w DE's. Casey has a setup over his 90 bow.

Have you ordered from Aquatraders? I’ve been curious about that company and if they were legit.

I ordered a 24" 130 watt pc light. It came with "free" bulbs. Said one daylight and one actinic. The fixture ended up coming with 2 daylights instead. I called them and they said because they was "free" nothin they could do about it. But they would sale me 2 actinics. And I even read on another site that if the bulbs come broken, doesnt matter because they are "free". I even read somewhere about the MH fixture catching fire or the ballast? Only problem I didnt like about the pc fixture was the fans was really loud. Do a search on Odyssea and Aquatraders, you'll be surprised on some things you will read. I can only speak my opinion on service and the pc fixture, thats all I have ordered.

well the price for the t-5 ho sets are unbelievably low so id like to know if there any good cause if so there about a 1/4 of the price most places want. kinda makes me wonder if there any good. has anyone bought any t-5'S from them? heres a link to the set id want to try http://www.aquatraders.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=22

Thats what I wanted to try out, the 4x54w T5's. The only problem is that they aren't in stock. I may order a set if they are in stock.

well ive had 4 of their 20" metal halide/actinic combo's running for over a year now. They got my order right on everything and shipping was quick... even during last xmas. No fire issue here lol. My only problem is im not the best at hanging the lights (was my first attempt) I just screwed in some pot holder type hangers in the ceiling and wrapped the cable around them... gotta redo somehow.

yea the only thing i see that isnt the greatest is that they dont have seperate reflectors but being so cheap it might be worth buying them seperate from somewhere else. the cheapest set of 2x54w t-5 retro fit kits ive found with bulbs were 150 so these are a 3rd of the price and have the enclosure. i might just bye the 2x set just to see how they look since there so cheap anyways and if they suck ill throw them on my wifes fresh water tank lol

I am a member. I live in thompsons station... I see you do too I would love to come look at your tank(s) and let you do the same! Perhaps then peeps would see that you dont have to spend a fortune for great lights. If anyone is interested I do know a very nice amish man in the middle of nowhere who is extremely skilled at building a fish tank stand to any specifications. I paid $150 for a stand that looks like a peice of furniture and is 6' x 3'x4'
