Low light anemone?

has anyone heard of an ACTUAL case of a tube anemone eating fish?


if not.... and by the sounds of the artilce this question will go with a bunch of nos...

I may do a no-no and try one in my seahorse tank... if they retract when a big dead object touches it, then big living objects trying to hitch to it probably won't hurt during the day... and I can place it somewhere that they don't go near at night...

I REALLY like that article bertoni... got any others hiding somewhere?

Im running a icecap 660 with three 46 inch lights, would this be good for anemones?

There's a thread on host anemones at the top of the forum that is very useful, IMO. We'd need to know how big the tank is, what wattage the bulbs are, and what anemone you'd like to keep. It'd probably be easier if you started your own thread.

I've been doing some more reading and I came across Condylactus, the giant anemone. It looks like it does well in lower lighting conditions and it's also a pretty anemone.
Any comments on that one?

I believe Condylactis can be found in relatively shallow water, so they should need light to thrive...

Condylactis is a strong stinger. Clown fish have a hard time adapting to it.
Yes - Condy's have a much lower light requirement.
