Low light corals?

Apart from mushrooms and zooa's are there any other corals which are considered low light? And how "low" is lwo light..in say watts per G? I currently have about 3Watts per gallon...I'm assuming that's really low light? Can I keep any corals in the wattage? (Tank is 18" high but has a 4" DSB)

I had success keeping soft corals under really low light. You also might want to try Fox Corals, they are LPS and like lower light levels. Green Star Polyps are also nice, they add some color.

Chili Corals are nice and don't require much light.

Keep in mind that sun corals, while stunning, are not photosynthetic, and each polyp needs to be spot fed. I've always shied away, b/c I feel like I spend too much time and energy on my tanks already. But maybe it's not as intensive as I imagine...

Thansk - I'll bear the sun corals feeding requirements in mind (Have done lots of searching on the LPS fourm!!)

Will go looking up Xenia and Chili now.

GSP's will do better on stronger lighting (faster growth and better polyp extension) but will be OK w/ lower light. Xenia is pretty much the same.

Mushrooms can survive on shaded areas.. these are really low-light corals and extremely hardy. You can also try Colt corals

Colt coral, some leather, cup/pagoda coral, colt, GSP...I kept all of these under minimal light (NO bulbs) successfully. Chili and Sun coral require feedings.
