Low ph in your tank

How does it separate the oxygen from the carbon dioxide? Seems like it would work in conjunction with the fresh air intake and then push out house air while pulling in outside air.

Yes the minute you turn on the vent over your hood it opens a fresh air vent on the other side of the house from the outside so you are pulling in fresh air across your house and yes it will be hot air from outside or cold air in the winter......some A/C companies put a tube from outside sometimes on your roof directly to the return side of the air handler to always bring in fresh air ....I think along with the installers that this will make your a/c system work harder always bringing in hot air when you are trying to cool it and trying to heat it in the winter....they do have a good point we do need fresh air they say the new products in our cars and houses are harmful or give off harmful gases ....

Its actually not a bad idea for a house with a reef setup or if you would like more fresh air.....but it will make your ac work harder and you electric bill a little larger by putting the tube to your air handler

I will give it a shot but I don't know if my house has this code requirement u mention. House was built in 04 I think.

It's still pulling out air, and since homes are not air tight and doors are always opening and closing, fresh air will come in somehow. I know I keep mine on low when I have people over and I make sure it's on when the wife cleans with chemicals.

I wanted to update this, just make a point how CO2 relates to the skimmer pump (air scfm).

I was running C0-1 skimmer (Air Intake: 360 l/Hr) on my Eel tank for a couple of weeks of testing.
Always run CO2 scrubber on this tank through my skimmer air intake.

My pH would top at 8.24 at the end of the day.

I have a C0-2 (Air Intake: 720 l/Hr) skimmer now in that tank.

With nothing else changing other then a new skimmer, my pH is now topping at 8.38 at the end of the day. Took about 3 days to reach that threshold.

I have install a tee fitting at the input the CO2 scrubber and with a valve i am mixing normal air with air from the CO2 Scrubber to keep my pH at max 8.32

On a side note: I have design a software to control 2 valves, one to run pure C02 scrubber air at night time, and run normal air through the day. Hoping to maintain a pH more steady range.

I will most likely start a new thread about my finding, when I get a chance to install the valves. There are issues that i need to resolve (back pressure is different from CO2 scrubber and then a open valve), will need to add a third fix valve to match my CO2 Scrubber back pressure.

My PH won't go above 7.4. :/ I was using kents and it'd raise it to 8.2, and by the am it'd be back down. I didn't realize it was raising my salinity at the same time.
