First of all I must say Randy Holmes-Farley is a genius, he is a brilliant person. I have been using his 2 part mix for years, works perfect. The reason for this post is my pH was creeping up, so I used Randy Holmes-Farley's vinegar solution to knock it down. I think I must have overdosed because now the system holds at 8.1, usually it would be 8.2 AM 8.3 PM . I am looking for a Randy Holmes-Farley mix to boost pH. Any help is appreciated!!!!

What is the alkalinity and how are you supplementing it (which recipe)?

you could try kalk but if you overdosed I would lay off off dosing the vin till your ph goes back to normal.A ph of 8.1 is fine I wouldn't worry about it.My ph was always low and nothing ever died because of it.I did notice that certain leathers prefer a higher ph.
Sorry it has taken so long to reply, Alk is 2.97 calc. is450 I am using recipe #2.
I only use it to get alk. and calc. in balance then I rely on my kalk reactor to maintain the balance. Besides the vinegar I also ran a lot of aeration, which probably played a part in dropping the pH. The link you posted was exactly what I was looking for. As I said the system was running 8.2 AM & 8.3 PM now it is holding a very steady 8.1 although today I did notice a jump to 8.2 then back to 8.1. Everything seems to be doing fine. From your writings and the other post I assume 8.1 is acceptable. I do appreciate all of your help!!! You and ReefCentral are a blessing. Thank You
