Next time you worry about exposing your corals or clams to air during water changes or acclimation, think about these photos:

These were taken on Tioman Island, Malaysia. Corals and clams were exposed to air for at least an hour every day at low tide. The clams were in water so shallow that the water temperature during the day was uncomfortably warm to swim through (pretty sure it was over 90 degrees, but I didn't have a thermometer with me :)).

My favorite shots are those of the clams embedded deep inside the great old coral... Incredible!
 
Killer pics . My tank got up to 90 degrees one time during summer and everything ended up living exept my shrimps
