lps and dkh

today i was at the fish store and was told i should raise my dkh fast seince it is low (7)...will raing it fast hurt anything? i know it will in sps

I wouldn't raise it more than 1 dkh a day. You are in the safe range already, but could probably up it a few to like 9 or so. Just do it over a couple days and you will be fine.

Don't raise you alk quickly. +1 for no more than a point dkh per day.

Yeah never change anything in your water fast, well with the exception of removing nitrates or phosphates.

With my tank (lps dominant) I have found that my acans, brains, etc are happiest and their fullest when the dkh is around 7-8. If I keep it around 9-11 dkh, they will not be as happy.

7-8 is perfect. No reason to adjust

okay...i rly work part time at the store....and one of the other ppl that work there told a laid to raise it fast b/c its to low at 7...i told her no more then 1 dkh a day but....she went with what he said and now nah of her corals are opening lol...i just wanted to make sure i keep sps..fun thing is for some reasons everyone takes his word over mine even tho he kills everything

+1. My LPS start to bleach when I push the Alk above 8 dkh.
