This may be a stupid question, but in my 15 or so years of reefs, I've never had any experience with this.
To shake things up, recently I decided to go bare bottom. I don't want to get into the argument of what's best - sand or bare bottom etc. etc. But I would like to know what experience people have with having corals sitting directly on glass. I have a fairly large Acan and Maze Brain coral sitting on the bottom. Over time, are these going to grow onto the glass? I've always had them sitting in the sand with little concern of them "sticking" to anything. I don't want these colonies to attach directly to the glass, so if this is a possibility, I can put something else for them to grow onto that's less permanent. What is your experience with this? Thanks!
