LPS different light preferences?

I currently have mostly LPS in my tank. Most of them are on the bottom right now. But to make my tank look better I'd like to move a few higher. My question is, which of them would like to be closer to the lights? Or are they all about the same and I can try different ones to see if they tolerate more light? I have: duncan, frogspawn, torch, hammer, trumpet, alveapora, and LT plate corals. So far I have only put a duncan higher up and it seems to be doing alright.

I have a torch and a hammer that are pretty high up. I have a 120 also 24x24x48. I'm running 2x150w MH 15000K and 4 T5's. I don't run them all the time at once only about 3 hours. I reduced the light cycle a bit from how I had it. I live near the equator so I try just to keep everything in sync with the sun. You should be ok. If the corals look a bit stressed reduce the light cycle or put a screen over the tank and gradually aclimatise them. Alot of branching LPS are found in pretty shallow water with intense lighting...

I think I know how to tell if corals are getting too much light, but how do you know if they aren't getting enough? Do they also lose color in that situation, or just slowly die?

I think they turn more brown. They can adapt to lower light pretty easily. Most of the brighter coloration is the corals natural sunscreen. The zoozanthellea are brown. Conventional nwisdom seems to say that bright green equals greater light tolerance red or brown should be placed in a shadier area. Hey. We could make up somthing like one of those old sailors "Red sky at morning.." type of things:

If it's green; let it (put anything that rhymes with green here), red or brown; place it down...
