Heres a few other pics of some in my tank. I feed them once a week. I feed them a mixture of seafood pureed in the blender with some Boyds Vita-chem mixed in. Its mostly food for my fish but the hungry little mouths of my corals open wide for it also.
Got the recipe from Melvsreef.com
Elegance corals are hard to keep. I dont have this one anymore. It was a birthday present from my Mother. I tried everything to save it but the white jelly claimed it after 1 month in my tank. I was really bummed....really.
It seems some are hard to keep and others do really well. I beleive its because they were harvested in shallow waters and some from deeper waters. Eric Bornsman I beleive did a study on these corals. They also require nutrient rich waters and are found in lagoons around grassy muddy type bottom composition. I think mine was killed by my bright lights.
i got a hammer frag from my LFS about a month ago and i can already see three spots where new branches are starting to grow off. I got excited when i seen that. I have had my tank about a yr now but corals it in for about four months now and i am already seeing growth.
