LPS not opening for past 4 days??

Will check my params shortly, but my 20 headed Frogspawn, softball sized galaxia and silver dollar sized glaxia have not opened in 4 days. The only thing I have been doing differently is about 10 days ago I setup a 25w UV to try to combat an ich outbreak. I have been running this 24/7.

I have not noticed any of my fish picking at them, but of course I don't know what happens all day when I am at work.

Thanks

I don't know a darn thing about uv's but if your params check out normal, then maybe you should cut back a bit on the uv. Either less time a day, or less uv. Hope things get better.

I did not get a chance to test yesterday but will as soon as I get home. The only other thing is that I haven't done a water change in 3 weeks.

I wouldn't worry toooo much about the water change, my husband and I go months sometimes with no water change. Longest was 2 months. Just check your params first, then worry about the change after. Like I said before, if your params check out like they normally do, then it's the uv. You may be cleaning the water a bit too much.

I turned it off last night, but it was on for nearly 2 weeks straight. Didn't seem to have any effect on the softies. I went home at lunch to check on my dog and the lights were not on so they were all retracted.

I have gone longer than 2 monthes on water changes, but im am trying to see if something that I read about when i was into fresh water is true in marine.Something to do wit plants(in my case macro algae)anyway i forget , but it is working. All of my fish and corals re beutiful.(Frogspawn,Rics, toadstool mushroom, xenia, etc)All very pretty.I relly alot on natural filtration, but i do have an Emporer 400,uv sterilizer, and prizm skimmer.

Ok, here are the parameters:

Temp - 79.2
Nitrate - 0 to 5 ppm
Ca - 385
Alk - 7.4/2.63meg/L
Mg - 1320
PH - 7.92 on my monitor, 8.0 - 8.1 on test kit (been this way for months)
Salinity - 1.024
Phos - 0

Using Salifert test kits for Mg/Phos/Alk
Using Aq Pharm test Kits for Nitrate/PH
Using Seachem Ca test kit

Thanks
