LPS Tank done Right

Well on a sad note the Harlequin Tusk has worn out his welcome. He has proceeded to kill

Male Rhomboid
Male Hooded Wrasse
2 Alleni Damsels

and keeps flipping corals ontop of each other. So now the fun begins of getting him out

Thats some very nice coral. I especially like your yellow and red fungia. The only thing I don't like is all the coral on the sand. It just seems too "busy". I'd take most of them off there. It would give it a more natural look.

I am moving towards thinning out the tank. Im getting bored with it. I agree on the busy side. I want to leave room for growth and like the look of colonies more than the frags.

The denitrator is holding up well. I had to fix a line on the connector because it started dripping so it was off line for 3 days.

I have switched back to halides also. I traded my t-5s for 3 reef optix 250HQI w/ 14k phoenix. Im going to switch to 20k Xms eventually.

I noticed on t-5s coral colors would fade. I believe its due to the decrease of uv light that t-5s put out compared to the halides. Alot of coral pigmentation is induced by uv light.

Beautiful tank, I am starting to collect lps's ans softies. Its too addicting. Been looking for a lps dominated tank for a while. So many sps tanks
