A buddy at work is selling me 63 lbs of Fiji live rock that was in his a tank he just tore down. He has since down sized to a 20 gallon. He put the live rock in his sump, and it has been sitting in there for a month or so. I'm not ready to start my tank yet, so I was just going to put in a brute can while I system ready, which is still about a month or so away. So will holding it like this be okay or is this just going to kill everything that is already on the rock? Should I just consider this curing the rock and when I'm ready to put my system together, it will be ready to go?
Also, is that enough rock for my setup (40 breeder, 20 sump, 20 refuge)?
