Hello all.
so pm my path to upgrade to a 120, I need to simplify the system as much as possible to break out the shock, into smaller socks lol
so I have a Fuge in my sump, with 6" DSB, and cheato on top. I disturbed the DSB again last night and I do nt think there are enough nutritions in my tank for the DSB to be needed., soo I want to replace it with a shallow sand bed and some Live rock Rubble for the pods, mysids, amphipods and stars and ... to live in and reproduce. question is, can I just buy Live rock rubble and add it right away ?
I was thinking of emptying as much water as I can from the Fuge (so I get all the creatures out ) then empty the sand using a cup, add a shallow sand bed (NEW sand) and add LR rubble on top., any advice ? IDeas ?
Im not sure whether to worry about removing of DSB, as well as introduction of new rocks. let me know what you think.,
