Ok guys. I am ordering a nice LTA from work this week Friday (NOT a dyed color!). I have lots of experience with BTA's cause I have kept Greens and now have a beautiful Rose (about 6") hosting my clownfish pair and I do have experience with LTA's when we get them in at work... BUT I don't have experience with them TOGETHER!! I keep hearing conflicting info on keeping them in the same tank. Some people say they co-exsist fine and others say that the LTA will demolish any other anemone, including BTA's, that are in the tank. On occassion at work we do keep BTA's with LTA's if we get them in the same shipment but I haven't seen any issues to be honest. I have even seen them in close quarters to eachother (not touching though) and were fine. What about you guys? What do you think? Would love to hear from people that have kept the 2 together for a decent amount of time too. I have 2 places were I can put an LTA. One spot is on the same side as the my RBTA just undernieth in the sandbed, but they may end up being very close to touching, which I'm guessing they cannot get along THAT close together?? The other area is on the other side of the tank in the sandbed but I will have to move my Squamosa and Crocea clam. Would love if the clowns would go to both anemones but if it isn't possible to keep them that close together then I'm fine with that. Tank is a 33gal (3 feet) and I am aware of the sizes of both species of nems
If need be I will grow him out and give him to a co-worker that has a beautiful tank that I gave my Tomini Tang to after I grew him out
But I plan to upgrade ot a 75-90gal before then... anyways got off topic lol... the tank is 2 years old with an extra 10gals in the sump. Very very stable, clean tank. I grow Acropora like MAD in my tank!!
My RBTA is doing amazing and growing beautifully. I just want the 2 nems to get along without issues.
