LTA and sand bed

Recently I added 2" of sand to my 1" of current sand in order to allow my LTA to burry it's foot in the sand. So far it only seems interested in attaching itself to rock. Is there anyway to promp it to locate itself in the sand?

No, it will end up going where it wants. Just be happy that it's still alive.

At least a couple different species are known by the common name LTA, and have different requirements. Do you know the species name?

Very interesting that its attaching to a rock, I was under the impression that M. Doreensis prefered to bury its foot, and that has been my experience as well ( as limited as it is ).
