LTA. Greener & Stickier!

Drae

RAIDER NATION!
As stated above, my long tentacle nem has become greener and stickier. I knew very little about them(nems) when I purchased him( shame on me!) But have since learned a fair amount of knowledge about them. I took him from the local fs because they had it for over a month under low quality conditions and I had a true perc that seemed a lil bored. Well anyways... Since I got the nem 2 months ago it has only moved from the rock where I placed it( I know now they're sand dwellers) to the substate, although it stayed semi hidden it did open and except krill like crazy. Any who, since starting It's feeding regiment with vita-chem soaked krill and whatever my skunk pair( had to buy them since my true perc wouldn't go near the LTA) gives it, It's gotten bigger( or more open by far) come out more in the light, started turning greener( outside tentacles have darkened the most) and now grabs the feeding tongs like crazy with an extreme stickiness. Matter of fact, I have to now wait until he let's go! Good for me, right?

I would say "YES"! That's great. Funny that you mention your skunks being hosted by your LTA. I have a Condy and my skunks are hosted by it; although it seems the skunks steal the food rather than bringing it. I suppose it's like any relationship ... there are "givers" and there are "takers" :)

Sometimes the bigger clown will try to wrestle away a morsel or two also. I've never bothered asking which is male and vice versa. The clowns I mean. The smaller one isn't even allowed in the nem at night when the moonlights come on. He just kinda Hoover's around it barely touching any tentacles. Is this normal?

Yeah sometimes the females are selfish to my knowledge. My A. Ocellaris pair were hosted by my now dead LTA:( (got sting by my carpet nem) just make sure the oral disk of the LTA is double the size of the clowns to prevent manor stress but it sounds like it is happy.

Oh and BTW... I would really like another nem. Lta is fine, maybe a different color( heard there is a purple variety out there) but a rbta would be great. Possible?

Not an expert, but it should be okay as the LTA is a sand dweller where the RBTA is a rock dweller. Only problem is that if they run into each other, then one may die as was my case between the LTA and Carpet...

Update. Hey nem lovers. Lta doing extremely well. I have installed a wavemaker and it looks great riding the waves. I plan to post pics soon as I learn how. Tonight more then likely. The color is turning greener by the day. Also, its still staying put, and doesn't seem to like any setting above 30 second intervals on the wavemaker. I wonder why?

Phone pics. No justice at all. Nem was white to the tips almost. Hiding all day but eating when offered. It's doing a lot better.

Playing with contrast on phone options. Just seeing what this so called smart phone does.
