Looking for help again...

I have had my Long Tenticle Anemone about one week and this evening my wife found him "stuck" to the intake of the hang-on Protein Skimmer. He got sucked in a little but I have a screen on the intake so I do not think it did any damage. Now he is just floating. Have a killed or damaged him?? Should I physically go and anchor him to the bottom of the tank? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am attaching pictures below:

This morning I tried pushing hoim to the bottom and placing him gently under a rock, no luck. He just continued to float to the top. Anyone have any thoughts?

No, the foot seems just fine. In the pictures (taken last night), the foot was really swollen but this morning it looked fine.

Lta's are notorious for not attaching. Sit down in front of your tank and figure out where there is great light and flow but not alot of flow. Then dig a hole as deep as you can at the base of a rock. Put it's foot in the hole and cover it's foot back up with the sand. Have done that for both of mine and neither has moved since i put them in the tank. The one has been there for a year. And keep up on your water parameters and hopefully he will attach.

Good Luck

Update, still not great...
The LTA is still floating. I have tried to anchor him to the ground but he REALLY wants to float. I think the only way I can anchor him to the ground is to bury him in sand. Also he seems to be secreting a lot of muscus. Any other thoughts?? Should I just "dump" sand on him and totally burn him?

My bta wouldent stop floating the I switched from my 45 to my 90. I ended up putting a plastic speggetti strainer on top of it and a rock, and then putting a rock on top of the strainer. I got a lil sleep that way and it attached eventually that night.

Its been fine ever since. Might want to give it a shot. I used a salad strainer from that salad spinner contraption, holes are bigger than a spegetti one, but use whatever u have
