LTA under LED's?

I got a 40g breeder that's begging to be a nem tank. All I really want in it is a purple LTA. You think the ecoxotic panorama fixture would be intense enough? I'm going deep sand bed, so that's 6 inches closer.

I've got an LTA in a 40 regular under LEDs. My lights are DIY, so I don't know how they would compare to your fixture. Mine are built into the frame of an old 2X150w Aqua Medic MH fixture I had. There are 21 lights in each "bank," so 42 altogether. Half white half blue. The anemone is doing great.

Thanks rssjsb! I think I read somewhere that the panorama fixture is almost equivalant to a 250w MH. I'm pretty sure it will work, I just wanted some other opinions for confirmation.

I'm not familiar with the fixture you mentioned but I have a green S.haddoni under TMC 1000 HD tiles (marine white version). I fitted the tiles at the beginning of April and so far so good. The tank is 26" deep and the carpet is right at the bottom. hope this helps ?
