Lta?

My tank is almost 3 years old, I am seriously thinking about adding an anemone for my pair of clowns.

I think I would like an LTA but I have read they need at least 4" of sand. I have about 2", is that enough?

You can make it locally that deep, and not the whole tank. Some people (( I don't use them )) used a capped piece of PVC with sand in there for their sandbed dwelling anemones.

I have a LTA for my pair of Maroon Clowns. The female is constantly digging and fanning the sand with her tail. So the nem is stuck in a crevice between two rocks, and the sand is dammed up behind the rocks, where the nem is attached to the bottom of the tank and part of the rocks. He seems perfectly happy.

The first time my clown dug up the nem, it found a spot and attached itself in a crevice between two rocks and spent the day ****ing off my acans until I could get it moved. Everyone is happy now that a rearranged the rocks and my clowns definitely love their LTA.

Thanks, I have seen the PVC idea but I was hoping I wouldn't have to do it.

I am probably 5 weeks away from adding anything, I just made the switch to LEDs and I am slowly ramping up the power of the lights.
