Is it normal for a LTA to stetch out a lot and its foot to not even touch the sand bed. I put him in 2 weeks ago and he decided to move around today and knock over stuff and stop at one point and stretch out to like 8 inches is this normal?

Yes it's normal as mine when new did that too. It's trying to find a place it likes.
