LTA's recover from torn foot?

Picked up this one a few days ago. It's never looked totally inflated since I bought it. It was in a basket with no sand at the LFS. It was very well array bed to the basket when I bought it. I didn't notice any damage when it was being bagged up. Since getting it home it hasn't attached though the sand and I noticed a tiny tear in the foot (second pic). Any chance it will recover?

This morning it decided to do this. Surprised it left the sand but I'm not going to mess with it. This is the best it has looked since I got it.

Well the extension looks impressive, and I don't see the mouth which is good.

Usually when anemones start to die, they open their mouths and eventually start to detach tentacles. If it is staying nice and full like this, and not showing an open mouth, I would say you're in the green.

Perhaps increase flow a bit? I've noticed mine likes to have a decent flow to keep the tendrils swaying and collecting food.

I highly recommended that you QT new anemones, especially if you have another healthy anemone of the same species in the DT. Sick anemone can pass infection to another healthy anemone and you will loose that healthy anemone in your care. QT tank need not be expensive. Just 5000K LED and tank with PH, heater and some eggcrate to keep the anemone from getting hurt by walking on to the heater or chew up by PH.

LTA's usually do not recover if foot is torn, but that does not mean you should not at least try.
