I'm thinking I might try to build an acrylic or bathroom board divider in the window well (is a 2ft deep x 2ft wide basement window well...just guessing on the measurements) so the intake is separate from the exhaust. This will help so I don't "mix" the exhaust air w/ incoming air.

I was thinking the same thing. Finding a fan or fans that aren't too loud is a little difficult. Some fans are listed by Sones (the sound you hear), while many others are listed by CFM. With Sones, the lower the number the quieter the fan. With CFM, the higher the number, the louder it'll be.

I don't understand the pictures, but then again I'm too tired to do more than type replies. ;)

Are you so tired that you didn't even notice that the pictures aren't there? ;) Or is it just me? (( not even getting a red X ))

The pictures are there (or at least in my cache).

So there are two closets on the wall where the tank goes, and you want to knock out the wall between the two? And add a new doorway to the end of that hallway?

Still tired, but about to fire up the coffee machine. :)

DING DING DING...you are the wiener.

That is correct. there are two closets next to eachother but are divided by a wall (they are for two different rooms). One opening (the room w/ the 58gal in it) will be the where the tank sticks out and the other closet opening (the one w/ non fish stuff in it) will get sheet rocked off (closed up).

The end of the hallway will get the door way that will go straight through the two.

This make more sense?

Eric, that's awesome and makes sense.

Btw, why can't you get that knocked out in 14 days? Hmmm? ;)

14 days...I'm sure I could get the room done but remember I have a little problem w/ not having enough electrical to support it. Heck don't know how my current 58gal doesn't blow any breakers!

Glad that the two sketchup drawings help make some more sense. I'd love to tear out some walls but the wife wants me to get the stand and get the tank on it and do some plumbing before I mess w/ the walls :D Wants to make sure I don't change my mind :D

Marc had a team of midgets, 72 large pepperoni pizzas, and a keg of Coors Light.
Is it Coors light or Crown Royal?????

You forgot about my lovely BasketBall Cheerleaders. Those ladies kept our energy up. :)

There was beer, wiring, plumbing, framing, scrubbing, mushroom removal and more going on.

I would get the walls down first so you don't get dust into your tank. It'll give you more room to work as well. And let your wife know you're serious. :D

Yeah, walls definitely come first before any tank work is done. Besides, you would have to move it again once you got the walls finished out.

Knock the hole in the wall, then tell your misses it'll take a few years to get around to doing anything  Power requriements were more than I thought :o

cheers

Chris
