Everything looks amazing. You need to quit putting down your tank, because we're just gonna call you a liar from now on. :D

You still get excellent growth, and the shape of your corals are very nice. I like it when they grow symetrically instead of wildly. I love that brain! Your clam looks like it might enjoy a 30 minute freshwater dip, it's a tad wrinkly.

really nice pictures, do you have any pictures of your sump??

here you go. it's TIGHT in there!!!

Travis - thanks buddy. looks great from the frags i have bought and traded through you in the past!!!

kau - no problemo. i'm still not trading yet unless you plan on treating for all bugs. i don't think i have any but i want to let anyone that i give stuff to that i haven't done a full acro treatment for AEFW's. RB's i do and have treated for. just s word of caution

melev - thanks. you know the old "grass is greener on the other side" saying. that is what i feel. i guess i look at it everyday and see what all it wrong w/ it. also the pics don't show all the faults...it hides bryopsis and such :D

i feel i'm getting pretty good growth and yeah it seems to grow in good shapes.

the brain is my fav too. i wish my old one that died in the PO4 crash of 04 would have survived like this one. that old one was my fav!

the brain in the front left is the old one that i liked so much. the one in the middle or middle right is the one that is in my tank now and growing on the glass it grew from way smaller then that and almost lost it in the po4 battle

think my clam has PM disease? i think it is just that pic. it looks normal to me. i had 3 clams last year that had PM disease and they looked way different. or are you seeing something else?

had to do this for comparison on 1yrs time

not bad IMO. seems growth was good for a year.

It may be slightly infected. There was a speaker at MACNA this year that just published a book about clams. His name is James Featheree.

It was stated to dip a clam in RO water for exactly 30 minutes, not more and not less. The temperature of the water should match the tank, and the pH should match as well.

Sounds pretty easy to me, and it may make your clam extend without the furled edges. Then again, if it looks different normally, and the picture simply caught it in an usual moment, ignore me. :)

Lunch, I agree, you need to stop putting your tank down. It looks really nice. When it is your own tank you don't appreciate it as much as others. I am the same. When I look at my tank I see that small patch of bryopsis here and there before I see the new growth tips on this or that coral, etc... You don't know what you have until you lose it. I think we can both relate to that, having suffered full tank crashes. I look back at pictures of my old tank and wish I could have it back... at the time I didn't think the tank was all that great.

I think your clam looks ok from my end.

As for the bryopsis, talk to Grant and see if he can get you a small sea hare. He is going to try to get me one on his next order. It will have to work to get all the bryopsis in my tank but if that does happen I'm sure I can trade it around the club to keep a supply of food for it. I'm sure you could do the same. Grant has a couple sea hares in his tanks right now and they made short order of his bryopsis.

Eric,
your tank looks great! I'm very much jealous.

I wouldnt worry about the clam. It doesnt appear to have PM to me....both of my Crocea's had it, and I was able to save one...

Your tanks growth is amazing, keep it up!

Nick

Chrisrush, you are correct... that is the LE soli.

Lunch, I just heard from Grant and he ordered 4-5 sea hares with his order this week. But that doesn't guarantee he will get them in. Might want to put your name on one of them.

Travis - true true buddy. it's always easy for everyone to look at the bad before we look at the good. most people are this way.

guys i really do enjoy my tank...don't get me wrong. i'm very happy w/ it...just those small things that keep us stiving for more and better. guess it gives me a goal...yet annoys me :D

melev - i think it's the pic. i had three clams in the past that had it and it looks nothing like them. i'll see if i cna get a better pic for you guys

maxxII - thanks buddy! i'm sure you are jealous...i'm VERY sorry to hear about your tank troubles :( you'll be back before we kknow it

chris - sorry brain fart this weekend. not sure why i had efflo on my mind. you and Travis are correct. soli all the way. still not sure why i labeled it wrong. oh well. i got this beauty from Travis :D any updated pics of the mother colony there buddy?

thanks everyone

ohhhhhhhh very nice, we may have to work out something:D and i agree no need to put down your tank, it looks great. but i agree, it is all the small stuff that bugs us all and until you know it's gone it just keeps bugging you.
as for treating corals, Travis and Grant have been answering my questions about how to go about QTing (thanks very much for the help) them first and i have already started treating my acro's just in case.
