Luzonichthys

[Achilles Torben]

Somebody has experience with this fish and the behavior? I interested in this fish because it is smaller than normal Pseudanthias. I like to introduce 100 Luzonichthys in my 5500 Liter (nearly 1500 US Gallon) coral tank. But what behavior has this fish. It is like Pseudanthias evansi a freewater fish? I don't like the behavior of Odontanthias borbonius because this fish is mostly nearly to the ground and do not use the freewater to "play" in the group.

What's about the optic of Luzonichthys? They are beautiful or just the ugly brother of the Pseudanthias? Doesn't found much information about this fish. Youtube nearly nothing just a few pictures.

They are able to stay alive for longer time or half of them lost within a few weeks

Definitely a 'freewater' fish ie openwater swimmers. Appearance depends on the species.
A large group would look amazing in the right tank.

Around here L. whiteleyi and L. waitei are more readily available than others. They all eat well, including bigger pieces of food and are hardy for an anthias.

My only concern would be if you have aggressive fish that target them.

But with a really big group thats unlikely to scare them enough to hide.

Would love to see an update in the future if you go ahead with a very large shoal.
