Buckets make great TT containers, just make sure the heater isn't too powerful.

Another thought, for the future. When dosing copper it's a good idea to adjust your pH above 7.9, this allows the toxicity of copper to be minimized and maybe some adverse reactions.

+1 Only downside is you can't see the fish too good in a bucket, to look for symptoms of velvet, brook, and other fast killers. But those threats have already passed if you've had this fish in isolation since January.

good point, i actually ordered 2 10 gallon tanks, i will start tt tomorrow with them

I would not use a UV with TT. It offers very little benefit and becomes just one more thing you have to clean/sterilize.

When I do TT, I keep everything as simple as possible. I use two 10 gal tanks, and each tank has it's own heater, thermometer, airline tubing and PVC elbow(s) for hiding places. I don't even use a HOB while doing TT... I only use air stones.

If I TT a large fish or many fish, I transfer them to a larger QT for 1 month observation as the last transfer. But if I TT smaller fish, I put a HOB (with a seeded sponge) on the 10 gal after the last transfer. I also dose Prazipro at the onset of transfers 2 & 4.

Currently I'm observing 3 firefish and a diamond goby in just a 10 gal. I have not lost one single fish in, say, the past 2 years, during or after TT. I can't say the same about my other QT protocols.

I think the pyramids had flukes or a type of worm, especially since you said you saw cloudiness in an eye, do you still have one of them? I would've tried fw dip, Levamisole & Prazipro, probably in that order. NGP works well, but that's for infection, I wouldn't prophylactically treat with it. Keep it as simple as possible, I just read you had twins recently, good luck! My sister had a pair in Feb, they hired a nanny last month to help out so they can continue to work/sleep/enjoy life.

actually the cloudiness was because of the formalin, one of them survived and seems to be improving with the mix of kanna furan and metro

i did do freshwater dips, did nothing, it really looks like worms but its not, little ulcers

OK guys, quick update
one survived this ordeal after i treated him with a combo of antibiotics

now the question is, after over 8 weeks of no meds, he swims amazing, eats like a champ and no longer has any lumps or bumps

however he seems to have some pits on his sides (missing scales...) i am guessing this is due to what he had

few questions, will he ever recover? will his scars recover after a while?

is it safe to add him to the dt?

MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION... could he still carry the disease but he is immune yet fully contagious?

his lips are still white, he seems to have a scar on him chin where he had some kind of growth... yet he eats better then my crazy anthias! this guy really is a beast....
