The wife and I had an awesome time, this being our first MACNA. Thanks a lot for all the hard work guys. I've got a few pics I'll post tomorrow.
We left at 9 am today and got home at 6:30 pm CDT. We somehow managed to win the 65 gal. tank and stand. We bought a bunch of tickets and loaded up a few buckets. In the mean time, my wife threw in a ticket here and there. I didn't put any in the bucket for the 65 and she threw one ticket in it and somehow, out of the hundreds, if not thousands of tickets, her one ticket was drawn. Go figure.
We barely got everything to fit in the Aztec. Ended up with a lot of free shirts too.
The raffle was incredible. I've never seen a zero edge tank that large and Oceanic gave away some really nice tanks. I'm hooked on their 45 Tech cube now! Just a really nice little tank. I had a ton of tickets in that bucket. Whoever won it, you were lucky! lol (Oh yeah, for the record, the rep said only the front panels are starphire...lol)
I had a 3 gallon nano set up in the hotel room and I bought some gorgeous acan lords from at least 5 different vendors and some nice zoos. I couldn't be happier.
The presentations were extremely informative. It was very hard to pick where to go next. Guest speaker, workshop, or vendors before everything I wanted was snapped up?!
Got to listen to many of the guest speakers though and went to Anthony Calfo's photography presentation.
I really enjoyed James Fatheree's speech on clams. Since I've never gotten into them and know nothing about them, I learned a lot from that one.
You really couldn't have asked for a better place to hold it around there. The hotel was easy to find, the rooms were good sized. LG, HDTV hanging on the wall, big windows, double sinks. Then just take the elevator down to the show. I woke up at 5 a.m. on Saturday (and I'm not a morning person). I felt like a kid on Christmas morning.
Everybody's tanks make it ok while they were gone? We've been on vacation for the last couple weeks and just got home today. Had 3 people taking care of the tank and I came home to my tank temp too low, pH at 8.69, 6.7 dKH alk, 530 Ca, 1440 Mg., with some lps turning white on the edges and algae creeping back up.

 At least everything survived. Aahhh, good to be home!
