MACNA What did you buy?

Yeah, i never remember most of the names either. The zoas will open eventually. Probably when your day lights come on. Most of mine close up at night. The coral in the 2nd pic though, mushrooms I think, look like they have some bubble algae on them. If so I would take them out of the tank and try to cut the bubbles off at the base with an exacto knife or other pointy object before it spreads. Once off wash the frag off with some water to make sure the spores are gone. I had a problem with bubble algae in the past and it was a pain once it took hold.

Nice frags though, I especially like the clam.

Does cutting the bubble prevent it from spreading?

Cutting them open causes the spores to come out. Your best bet is to do it outside the tank and try to cut the root so the whole bubble comes off without popping it. To be safe i'd wash it off after you get em all off. If you do pop one you can pull off the casing with tweezers.

Cherry Corals has some cool ones. There is a booth 2 booths west of Cherry Corals that had some also. I don't remember the name. If you are facing the front of Cherry Corals it is 2 booths to your left. There also were a few others, but I don't remember who they were.

We always buy from zoanthids.com any show he's at that we go to. Really glad we bought there Friday cuz he was mostly wiped out today LOL. I got a pink shroom & some zoas, bf bought an acan & I forget what else. Today, bf bought 5 more frags for $10 each, more acans, a red monti, & some more zoas. I just found a box in the hall on our floor to pack them all in tomorow when we pick them up LOL. No pics till Monday, though. I'll be up late tomorrow night acclimating them in a dark tank.
