Macon's 90g (ORCA)

I use scissors, tweezers or whatever can grab hold and then just yank on them. They don't melt like other Paly's which is why they grow so well and I don't mind being harsh. They are awesome looking, just need to be kept in check is all.

I agree 100%. :) I love the way they look under actinics.

I've done that before to one polyp and it released a "smoke cloud" when I tore it off. I immediately replaced and upped my GAC in fear it would harm the other corals. I take it that was irrational?

Picked up a little gold coral banded shrimp yesterday. Hopefully they arent as aggressive as the regular large ones. (Monti courtesy of Swirlygig)

I used some tweezers and they easily just peeled right off in a big mat. Thanks a lot for the tip.

Well one of my MP40wES crapped out on me a couple weeks ago so I decided to upgrade. These new QD pumps are absolutely dead silent and have made a huge difference. Way more flow too. My old ones were at 100% and the flow was great but if i put the new ones at 100% my tank is a snow globe. They have currently been running at 75% for about 2 weeks and I think its about the same. To anyone thinking about upgrading, do it!
