The transition went well. The anthias was breathing heavily for a few minutes but seemed to adjust fast. I put it in the display last night. Eating and swimming around like nothing happened. I left the RRD in the refugium so it can fatten up a bit. It was really skinny when I bought it but seems to be doing well. Every time I look check on her, shes hopping around pecking the chaeto.

Try to get some live feeds, the peppermint angel, that they had in Living reef Orlando, was the only one who made it out of the same batch it came to USA, also it was the only one that they feed with live feeds besides other foods

how is the anthias doing? i had a sunburst that was doing great for a week until my clown decided it didn't want it in the same tank. chased and bugged it for 3 days before i could catch the clown. the anthias never started eating again :0( i got rid of the clown and have another sunburst that is doing great!

i am debating on getting one of the ruby reds. they look really cool! i wonder if it will get along with my blue mandarin in a 75g?

Oh yes. Very orange. Mine was bright orange this morning. I got mine from Sexycorals.com. It's the only coral in the tank that I haven't got locally.

The anthias is doing great. Eats like a pig. I feed three times a day and it still acts like its starving every time I put food in the water. May increase to 4 times a day just to be safe. I also have a Lyretail Anthias so no food ever goes to waste.

I have a male red mandarin and a female ruby. They seem to get a long fine although my red mandarin did jump the other day. My son found it and I put it back in the tank. Everything seems to be okay but I'm pretty sure it was the ruby that ran him out. My mandarin is about 3" and the ruby is less than an inch.

I built a 1" stand for my skimmer and, wow what a difference. I've been struggling with getting my skimmer to act right. It either skimmed very wet or not at all. The manufacturer claims 9-10" of water for optimum performance. I had it in 10.5". Now it's in 9.5" and after about a week it's skimming like a champ.
