Macro algae an attraction for gunk in the tank

I've got several types of macro algae in my tank and I have noticed that small layers of detrius (?) and/or other forms of debris seem to find their way to clinging to my macro algae. I know I've got plenty of flow in the tank, but this stuff just keeps coming back. It's not attractive by any means and it's pretty annoying getting in there with a turkey baster to blow the stuff off. Does anybody else have this issue or is it just me?

I have some sargassum in my tank (brown stuff), and there is always crap all over the stuff.. I don't know why, though

I use a turkey baster to keep my algae sediment free. You may want to use a filter with a pad to remove some of that detritus.
