In a well established fish and invertebrates tank with SG 1.024 temp 80, zero nitrite, zero nitrates, but a constant high pH of 8.6 or 8.8 (very purple readings) my refugium is losing macro algae in less than 2 weeks I add iodine 1x week micros 1x week and iron 3x a week, it has a light (12hours)on top from hardware store folks say they use with good results. I also added a 12 watt LED red spectrum as sidelight. I have a vortex water jet. I have more algae otw and this time will try main tank (combo of t5 and LED). I can't find anyway folks are dropping ph e cept air and constant viniger. I have a lot of air and do not wish to do anything constant. I bought several types this time hoping some would be happy enough to grow. Any tips? Oh green micro grows well
