I got the macro bug. I'm going to have to bite the bullet. Any macro junkies in here. Looking at the tamron 90mm. Using my phone right now because it takes better pics than my SLR with stock lense

I just purchased this Tamron 90 f2.8 and I like it. The only complaint is when I get it right next to the tank and go to focus the lens extends a little further than I care for but the pics are incredible I need to figure out how to use my camera a little better that for sure.

Lol that's the part I need to figure out I haven't quite figured out how to download my Nikon 5100 onto my IPad yet.

Are you happy with the lens? Do you think it was worth it? I was thinking about pulling the trigger tomorrow but a $500 trigger isn't easy to pull. I feel retarded taking pictures with my phone when I have an slr I know can take amazing pictures.

Drop box is a good way to transfer pics from anything to an iPad and visa-versa. Free on the iPad,iPhone,pc, and mac.

Yeah I am happy with it I am not the best photographer so I couldn't justify spending 850 on the Nikon 105 macro it didn't make sense considering I will probably never use the Tamron to its fullest potential. I went to apple store today and purchased the SD Card to mini pin for my IPad and it worked great on downloading some pics I will download a few so you can check them out just remember I am not very good at all with the SLR.

I'm looking forward to it. From what I have read it is best to shoot in aperture priority (a) on the dial and in raw format. Low aperature (f) and use a tripod. Manual focus seems to be the way to go. Some have said they get better macros with the live view and a remote shutter. Low iOS . I will post results when I am up and running.
