Macro eater?

I have quite the forest of cauperla and I was thinking of getting a fox face even though I have corals it would be able to graze on the macro I also have it in my sump so I'll always have lots of it. Is there other fish that like that stuff it's the feather kind. I already have a sailfin tang which I have found is also known as a rabbit fish or something I haven't really found much about it

Btw it is a 90 gallon

In general, fish don't like caulerpa. A sailfin tang is not a rabbit fish. Both those fish are too big for your 90 long term. Remove as much as you can manually. Maybe put one rock at a time in a qt with no light to try to starve it. I don't think there's a fish that will give you a quick fix. Good luck.

Not really looking for a quick fix just want to keep it in order I like it in the tank and it's a great pod refruge in the display

Physically cutting back is your only option. Fish don't seem to like caulerpa and won't generally afford you much relief.

Cutting back is not your only option IMO. I have had Foxface rabbits that loved feather caulerpa in the past. More recently I had a major outbreak of Caulerpa numularia which is nearly impossible to remove manually due to its size. Feather caulerpa is much easier to remove by hand. The numularia problem cropped up after my original foxface jumped out of the tank.

I replaced my foxface last month and he has already nearly cleaned out my tank (120) of the caulerpa numularia. I have had great experiences with foxface rabbits and caulerpa. I believe only the really large tangs will touch it but I have no experience with that.

I think a healthy ( fat at time of purchase ) foxface would be a great choice to battle your problem. I do not think your 90 will be too small for it.

Don't do this. "Starving" it will kill it and release all those nutrients into your tank at once. That would be Bad News Bears.

I'm pretty sure that's why he advised doing it in a QT tank.
