macro lenses, what focal point fits our needs best?

Great lens, but good luck finding it. B&H and Adorama has them on backorder for MONTHS now.

You can get an 80-200 f/2.8 for half the price, or a 70-300 VR for quarter of a price.

yeah, but the 80-200 doesnt have the VR anyway and its a gamble with used.. Im going to get the sigma 70-200 I suspect
