Macro shots from LoJack's Reef

I borrowed a macro lens from a friend of mine before buying one for myself. Trying to figure out how to use it. Much more challenging than I thought. The colour and lighting seems to be thrown off in every shot, even under the same camera settings.

Here's the best of the crop though "¦ let me know what you think.

Electric Green Torch Coral:

Green Birdsnest:

Unknown Acro "¦ Blazing Yellow with Gorgeous purple tips, my favourite piece in my tank for sure

ORA Red Planet:

Unknown green bushy acro:

If you have any tips or tricks on how to improve macro photography I'm all ears. I'm struggling with this lens and I'm having a hard time getting crisp shots.

The Rest:

Didn't realize you couldn't attach more than 10 images. I guess I've never tried before lol. Here are the rest of them.

Really deep orange, Monti Capricornis:

And a nice Purple Monti Capricornis:

Unknown greenish zoanthid:

Acropora Valida:

Blue Tip Acropora

Nice pics. Should consider closing your aperture a little in order to get more DOF in the pictures such as the Valida. Just a thought.

Thanks, I'm a beginner when it comes to photography, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Even more so when it comes to macro shooting.

Nice pics ....Colors look pretty good. I'd happily give photography tips, if I knew anything

Start shooting F8-F13 if your camera can handle a higher ISO. I can't see any of your EXIF info so I don't know what camera you are shooting with.
