mag 9.5 or panworld 40 ???

Setting up a basement saltwater mixing station. Need a pump to 10 ft of head. Dont need greater than 100 g/h rate as it is just to replace 20 gallon water change.


What are advantages of external pump vs mag? I see power requirements are twice that with the mag.

I wouldn't worry about power usage that much if you are just going to use it to mix saltwater and it's not going to run all the time.
I have owned a mag 9.5 return pump for 5+ years and it is still in use. all except for two months that I ran a panworld 50pxx. the impellar exploded on the panworld, so I stuck the mag 9.5 back in service while the panworld was shipped back to the manufacturer for their supposed 3 year warranty. after nearly six months of trying to get in touch with panworld after the pump was shipped back I finally got a response from them.....warranty coverage denied! I didn't even get my pump shipped back to me! I basically threw $170 out the window. I hope this helps you make your decision.
