Mag Drive Pump Help

I'm going to eventually try to do a mesh mod with my Mag 5. I found a replacement needle wheel impeller for it the Mag 5 Needle Wheel Pump, Needle Impeller
The dimesional difference between the Mag 5 and the Mag 5 needle wheel pump is less than 0.5 inches per LxWxH. I would assume that this replacement impeller should drop right into a regular Mag 5, but I would like other people's input.

The NW version has a totally different volute and cover, you would need both the volute and NW before you could meshmod.

Think about it, where are you going to introduce air into the volute? There is no inlet for air in the standard mag, only threaded inlet for water.

No picture available for the venturi you linked to. Worth a shot, IMHO. Let us know how it works out.
