Mag holder

I recently ordered a Tunze 6200.50 holder for our 100 gall. Oceanview. We read a thread here that indicated that the 6500.50 may be two strong and could crack the glass on glass thickness less then 1/2". Would we be better off changing the order to a 6080.50. We measure the glass thickness to be about 7/8" or 10MM. Comments...

Wjat does pump wattage have to do with the size Magnet needed??

The very strong pumps- 6200- can create enough force that at an angle it could loosen the magnets. The issue of cracking the glass would only come from being careless, if you slowly slide the magnets together and don't slap them together so their is a sharp impact you will have no problems.
