Mag supplement

Trying to make a DIY mag supplement...no problem finding epsom salt, but the magnesium chloride is different story. I found an ice melt that says magnesium chloride pellets, but the ingredients also have calcium and potassium chloride...question is, can this be used in the RF recipe for magnesium supplement?

BRS sells the magnesium chloride, although the price will be higher than buying something locally. The only DIY product that was tested for the DIY project was Mag Flake, which can be bought online, although the shipping will be pricey.

...so the calcium chloride and potassium chloride in the ingredients is not good to use in this recipe or just no testing to support either way?

The calcium chloride and potassium chloride probably are acceptable, depending on the amount in the mix, but the major issue is that there's been no testing, so I can't say whether it'd be okay. People have been successful with a wide array of products, though.
