MAG vs. Ocean Runner

Hi folks,

I need to replace 2 of my MAG pumps but you have only 1 MAG 9.5. How do the Ocean Runners compare to MAG? One will be used on an ETS Evolution 700 skimmer the other will replace a return pump on a 110 gal tank. Will this work?

Hi Nancy,

The OceanRunner's are pretty nice pumps. I do not think they have as much head pressure as what the Mag's do though. For your application I would try to go external on the skimmer if at all possible, as that would really "wake up" that EVO 700. If that is not possible, maybe check out the Sen900 instead.
