Magenta Magnifica

I'm really excited about this new magnifica I picked up earlier this month. Thought you all would appreciate some pics of it.

I loaned out my regular camera, so these shots are with an old video camera that took stills. I can't quite get real color nor close ups with it, but this should do for now...

<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/FlightyMail/MagnificentMagnifica/photo#5192990532178668802"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/FlightyMail/SBE1YBh57QI/AAAAAAAADcQ/N3J823ts--s/s400/DSC00004-3.JPG" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/FlightyMail/MagnificentMagnifica">magnificent m...</a></td></tr></table>

I don't feel like I am anywhere near out of the woods with regards to its initial health, but I have yet to see it open its mouth or deflate even through acclimation. It is eating very strongly and has a hell of a sting.

The color is fantastic, magenta with green tentacles with white and little purple dot tips.

Here it is eating

Top down eating

And top down a few minutes later once it swallowed :)

Last a pic of its location in the tank

Oh, and this was a few minutes after it hit the water. All of the clowns wanted to touch it no matter how gurmpily Dad told them to back off. He is the bright orange one with one of his kids doing a submisive shake under him.

Are you sure? Absolutly sure?:p :p :D :D :p :p
Niiiicccceeee!!!!!!
That Angel is also at least half way decent.

That is the EXACT same coloration of the one that fishkid has. Its awesome. I am looking for a purple base with the neonish green tentacles:)

Wow. Another great magnifica! Why can't I find one like that?
Awesome tank and great photos!
Thanks for sharing, even though it makes me very jealous! :)

CT and NH are not far apart and we got the anemones close dates together, I bet the anemones came from the same supplier's transhipment. Our store had two, one was larger, but was having some problems. This one was perfect. I went back later to also get the second one, but it was sold. I expected to see some of these turn up on LA, but have not yet.

The Divers Den has one now.

Wow..you have a lot of pink skunks in there and they don't fight? Are those skunks huge or is the magnifica just really small?
Anyways beautiful mag

Wow amazing colour! Good luck with it! I wish I had one with a coloured base (mine is brown). Before I had the one I have currently I did try one with a pink base but it did not make it past a couple weeks. Given how big they get I've gotten gunshy to ever try another.

That's a great looking tank overall. Is this the 425g described in your sig? What are the dimensions?

That is so beautiful! I haven't seen many magenta based mags, good luck with it! It would be amazing to successfully keep such a rare specimen.
