Magnet mounting tunze 6100's through 1" acrylic issues

Just looking for some experienced input here.

I have 3 6100's I run in one of my tanks using the large sure-grip 100 magnet mounts.

These mounts work great through 1/2" material but my problem is I just upgraded to a new tank that is 1" thick and they dont quite cut it. Roger(or anyone for that matter), what do I need to adequately hang these pumps through 1" acrylic??

You will need the Tunze 6200 magnet holder to be able to handle the 1" thick acrylic. Your Algae free magnet aren't strong enough...

The 6200.50 is stronger than what you have but we only recommend it for 3/4". I can only go by posts on this forum but many people have successfully used the 6200.50 on 1" but the key is that the pump points more or less straight ahead to reduce forces which might cause it to come loose.

So is there not a real option for 1" that I dont have to mod or come up with myself??

I have a 2 year old son. I need these mounts to be on just as strong as the suregrip100's are through 1/2" which is a strong enough hold he cant pull them off.

I would like to find a single magnet strong enough that I could use the tank side of the suregrip100's that I have modded to make fully adjustable and then jhust a super strong magnet on the outside that will hold this.

I am sorry but we don't have a solution at this time. The 6205 and 6305 will have a magnet holder for 1.25" glass included and the magnet will likely later be sold to retrofit other pumps.

I have try the 6200 magnet holder on my tank 1" thick acrylic and it holds very very well... Your order option is using the tunze holder and plump it into your euro brace just like mine...

Thanks jarhead. One thing about mounting them like that is it takes the two year old out of the equation as the outside mount is in the canopy.

The only thing I lose doing it tht way without some modding is the mounts I use now can be directionally controlled for height as well as side to side by simply twisting the mounts a little

With my setup, i can adjust the height from 1"-2.5". You can turn the pump by turning the bulkhead to left or right.

So what parts exactly do I need to do it that way??

It still doesnt appear to have directional control for the angle of height. but Im sure I can figure soemthing out. I like to have a couple aimed just slightly upwards to do some serious surface agitation. These two pumps are alos the ones that are run with my back up popwer supple so that surface agitation is important
